Designing Packaging & E-commerce for Conscious Living.
Owlpack is a sustainable lifestyle startup founded in California, dedicated to promoting environmental awareness through design, transforming everyday products into thoughtful solutions that combine aesthetics with responsibility. The brand’s offerings include eco friendly lighting, recycled mailing bags, and compostable trash bags, all developed with a focus on sustainability from material selection to user experience. Built on the 3R principle - Recycle, Reuse, Repurpose, Owlpack emphasizes not only material reuse but also holistic product lifecycle planning, reflecting a systemic approach to sustainability from design to end use.
Packaging design
Digital & E-commerce Content
This project focuses on the visual system development for Owlpack’s recycled mailing bag series. A consistent layout was designed across large, medium, and small sizes, translating functional attributes such as LDPE 4 recycled material, waterproofing, and tear resistance into recognizable visual language, making product functionality an integral part of the design. The packaging also incorporates playful slogans and QR codes as an extended interface, connecting digital content and brand communication. This approach ensures that the packaging not only protects and transports products but also serves as a medium for conveying brand values, balancing durability with environmental impact.
The overall brand experience extends to eco friendly LED lighting and other home products, establishing a cohesive packaging and information system that communicates clearly and elegantly from unboxing to use. In its early development phase, Owlpack targeted markets in the United States, Canada, and Japan, while integrating multiple touchpoints including retail channels, the official website, Amazon, and social media to gradually build an integrated brand system that combines global perspective with local relevance, enabling the brand’s sustainability vision to be understood and appreciated across diverse cultural contexts.
